I’m Maki Yamada, the founder and designer of studio Tamaki.

My journey in surface and pattern design has been shaped by a background in visual merchandising at 45R in New York, NY and product sourcing for the interior design firm ODADA in San Francisco, CA.

Color, minimal displays, timeless objects, and the beauty of craftsmanship inspire my work. Whether I walk in nature or through the city, I keep my senses alive with color and form. Photography is my daily inspiration, and I approach each design with thoughtfulness, curiosity, and care.
